This year we made a step further. Our festival was grown to a new dimension. In front of the Hangar 21 were artists spraying, painting and building. Also music performances took place and some natural foot stands welcome our guests at the main entrance. There was a directors boom, this year, over 50 directors came, 3000 guests and 64 workshop participants came to spend time in Detmold and made our festival 2011 to a real great one. Thanks to all of the lovley people!

We noticed that the request was not covered at this time and we decided to initialize the festival 2009 in the Kulturfabrik Hangar 21. This location is ideally suited for the festival. At present the Kulturfabrik is still in buildup, so that it is not formed by any events. We got the idea to construct a cube inside the hangar. Surrounded by large pieces of molton and fitted carpets, the audience could view and enjoy the short films at best. Due to this new location and the impressive atmosphere of the festival, last but not least due to the installations by the artists, we arouse the people curiosity on the festival.

In 2008 the festival took place in the guildhall again. We are glad that 4000 festival viewers visit our festival across four days. We showed 203 short films and our cooperation partner was the International Short Film Festival Ankara.

2007 - Already at this time we noticed that the request in the region owl exists and we only had to use it. Our previous location did be the guildhall, which was visited by 3.400 festival viewers across three days. We have additionally a block with focus on a special theme every year. That means, we show films from that country and after the block the directors can answer questions. 2007 was a special screening “Malta”.
